Every time Donald Trump makes an appearance with his wife Melania in public, the internet jokes about the fact that she often appears to look so different, to the point that there are genuine theories that she has a body double.

"The Fake News photoshopped pictures of Melania, then propelled conspiracy theories that it's actually not her by my side in Alabama and other places".

Commentators on "The View" noted that the woman with Trump last week looked shorter than the president in photos.

The tweet comes days after a wave of social media users shared photos of the First Lady and questioned whether it was actually a stand-in, with many using the hashtag #FakeMelania.

Bruce continued that The View hosts "can't appreciate or respect or enjoy something" and speculated they went on television to bash the first lady due to "issues" in their own lives.

Trump tweeted Wednesday decrying a fourth estate which, he argues, is "getting more deranged with time!".

Co-host Brian Kilmeade remarked as an aside, "There's no one that has the president's back like the first lady". Hosts of the ABC program debated whether an impostor had traveled with Trump. "You mean there are two women who have to pretend they're listening to (President Trump)?".

The "View" panelists weighed in on several photos of the First Lady during the segment, discussing whether the woman in the photos was really her.

"If our first lady, if I were a Democrat instead of a Republican, she'd be Jackie O times 20".

Grisham also tweeted about the show, calling it "shameful".

"People died, people lost family and people are hurting in Alabama", Grisham continued in her statement.

"She's handsome and we're doing this in jest", Navarro replied, also pointing out that people had criticized former First Lady Michelle Obama in a similar way. An ABC spokesman declined to comment.
