On the right side, the phone is expected to feature a fingerprint sensor that also doubles as a power button, something these renders also suggest.

Previously, Huawei was rumored to unveil its first foldable phone before Samsung. This would be a completely different phone from the foldable phone we're expecting to see at the company's February 20 event just prior to MWC 2019.

TechRadar will be reporting live from MWC 2019 to bring you all the latest from Huawei, including everything you need to know about its first foldable phone.

Nearly a week back, Huawei gave a briefing on 5G. He said its Balong 5000 chipset, a rival to Qualcomm's Snapdragon X50, is the world's most powerful 5G modem and can be used in vehicles.

To us, that V-shaped image is pretty clearly a folding phone, with the screen on the outside, as shown by the blue and red glow emanating from the screen.

Both devices have only made it to the hands of reviewers, but sales are expected to start on February 5 in India. "Moreover, this device will be a bit larger than the Samsung prototype of 4.6" and 7.3" diagonals. This removes the need for a second screen to use the phone when closed but it does expose the one and only screen to potential damage. The firm has already showed its curved screen and has promised for a foldable smartphone launch later this year. This upcoming device will be sold in the Mate series and will be powered by Huawei's Kirin 980 processor and Balong 5000 5G modem.

We've been speculating on Samsung's foldable phone for a while now, but it seems that the company has not one but two foldable smartphones in the works.

The Galaxy S10 5G, however, hasn't entered mass production yet, the report claims.
