Clippers deal Harris to Sixers in multiplayer deal

Per Wojnarowski, the Sixers will receive Harris, center Boban Marjanovic and forward Mike Scott.

Australian big man Thon Maker appears headed to the Detroit Pistons and Ben Simmons' Philadelphia 76ers are set to add elite Los Angeles Clippers forward Tobias Harris to bolster their chances of claiming the National Basketball Association title.

With the National Basketball Association trade deadline on Thursday (8pm GMT), teams in both the Eastern and Western Conferences are looking to fine-tune their rosters for the remainder of the regular season and beyond.

As the National Basketball Association trade deadline approaches, there is finally a blockbuster deal done in Los Angeles.

The big return for the Clippers comes with those picks.

The Clippers re-stocked the roster with pieces for the future. At 6'9, he is a little undersized to handle some fours, but that shouldn't be much of an issue in the Eastern Conference unless the Sixers ask him to guard Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Harris is having his best National Basketball Association season, averaging 20.9 points on 50 percent shooting from the field and 43 percent from the 3-point line.

Boasting a core that already includes Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Jimmy Butler, the Sixers were able to strike a six-player deal with the Los Angeles Clippers that will bring rising star Tobias Harris to Philly.

The Sixers paid a steep future price to the Clippers, including rookie guard Landry Shamet, Philadelphia's own 2020 protected first-round pick and an unprotected 2021 first-round pick via the Miami Heat.

Yet L.A. has successfully set the franchise as another with the cap room necessary to sign two max-level free agents and have the youth and flexibility to hone their young players into a support role. The Clippers are 30-25 and have shed the salary needed to make them attractive for major free agents in the summer.
