On Monday the Duchess told crowds in Birkenhead that she was six months pregnant and expecting the baby around the end of April or the start of May.

Meghan took it as a compliment - laughing and saying: "I'll take it".

"I'll take it", Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, said Wednesday with a laugh after a woman, pointing to Meghan's bump, called her a "fat lady".

During her visit, the Duchess was filmed getting up close and personal with rescue dogs, and she particularly loved a little Jack Russell named Minnie. This is Her Royal Highness's first official visit to Mayhew in her new role as Patron of the charity.

During her visit, Markle also met with animals being cared for by the charity, as well as people who have benefited from the organization's programs.

And it looks like the Duchess of Sussex makes the pawfect Patron for the charity after she was seen cuddling one of the puppies and cradling it on her blossoming baby bump.

Meghan had two pet dogs when living in North America but reportedly had to leave behind her dog Bogart, a Labrador-Shepherd mix, who was thought to be too old to make the move to the UK.

Meghan visited the headquarters of Mayhew which works to keep cats and dogs, whether family pets or companions for the homeless, safe and well, and support local communities.

The Duchess of Sussex arrived at the premiere of Cirque du Soleil's Totem show at the Royal Albert Hall in London in a rare dark lip. Meghan paired the eye-catching dress with black heels and had her hair in a chic updo.
