Mariah Carey sues her personal assistant for alleged blackmail

Mariah Carey performs during New Year's eve celebrations in Times Square in New York City, New York, U.S., December 31, 2017.

Azarian's lawsuit alleges that Bulochnikov committed a number of acts of abuse including slapping her butt and breasts, while also urinating on her.

Mariah Carey's ex-personal assistant has accused the singer and her former manager of subjecting her to "severe sexual harassment and discrimination".

As we reported, Mimi's taking legal action against Azarian, who started working for the singer in 2015 until November 2017, for allegedly filming the superstar's "personal activities" - ones we later heard from an insider were of manic episodes - and attempting to extort money from her. Reuters was not immediately able to confirm those details.

The Caution songstress blasted her former executive assistant Lianna Azarian as "a grifter, a Peeping Tom (asina) and an extortionist" in new court docs from her lawsuit against the ex-employee, with her counsel accusing Azarian of "outright stealing" from the artist.

"This new year welcomes Mariah's continued efforts to clean the trash from her life", the statement reads. The documents states, "Azarian, without Mariah's knowledge or permission, secretly filmed Mariah engaged in personal activities which, if revealed, Azarian knew would be personally embarrassing and professionally damaging to Mariah".

Lianna Shakhnazaryan has filed a legal case against the pop star and Stella Bulochnikov in Los Angeles.

If it's not one fire Mariah Carey is working on putting out, it's another.

Carey, who seeks unspecified damages but wants $3 million, has said she's tried and failed to get the videos returned along with proof of other criminal acts. She says she was on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and worked for both Carey and Bulochnikov.

In addition to the alleged blackmailing, Carey said Azarian used her credit card to make expensive personal purchases.

As seen in E!'s 'Mariah's World, ' Stella Bulochnikov served as the R&B diva's manager and best friend.
