The LG Signature OLED TV R is housed inside a 4.2-channel 100W cabinet speaker system that offers Dolby Atmos surround sound and can be used as a music system independently to the television.

Visitors to CES 2019 will also be treated to an arty OLED flower made up of four 65 inch UHD OLED displays that have had their edges curled inward, as a demonstration of the flexibility of OLED displays and the kind of thing LG Display can achieve without compromising picture quality.

Defining the next generation of television, the signature OLED TV R gives home television viewers infinite possibilities in designing their ideal viewing space with its innovative rollable display.

Line View allows the TV to be partially unrolled, allowing for management of specific tasks that do not require the full TV screen. In the Line View, users can choose from features such as Clock, Frame, Mood, Music and Home Dashboard.

The rollable OLED TV is a game-changer for a variety of reasons. The South Korean company first showcased a prototype, a rollable OLED TV at last year's CES.

LG said the Signature TV is powered by its second-generation Alpha 9 processor and deep learning algorithm.

iPhone or iPad users can now easily play videos from iTunes or other video apps to the LG TVs without the need for Apple TV streaming console.

David Vanderwaal, LG Electronics USA's senior vice president of marketing, said that the device combines "the world's best TV engineering and design into a home entertainment marvel". LG pitches this as ideal for action movies and sports, although it should also be ideal for gaming where the slightest bit of unintended blur can spoil the experience.
