UFC fighters react to Amanda Nunes' stunning KO win over Cyborg

Amanda Nunes defeated Cris Cyborg to win the UFC Women's Featherweight Championship at UFC 232 and was bestowed with a new moniker by the company.

In a wild fight that lasted just 51 seconds, Nunes dropped Cyborg with a series of brutal strikes. Nunes is the first female fighter in the UFC to win titles in multiple weight classes and just the third ever to be a double-champion, joining Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier. "My coach told me that when I hit her the first time, it would make her insane and want to come get me. I'm here. I'll be waiting", he said in his post-fight interview.

Two-time champion Jon Jones pummels Alexander Gustafsson to regain the light heavyweight belt. The two traded shots early, but it was Nunes closing the gap and getting the better of the exchange, snapping Cyborg's long win streak.

It marked Cyborg's first defeat since May 2005, ending a run of 21 fights without a loss. "But I also am smart enough to know that Gustafsson will fight his way back to the top".

Closing out a fight week chock-full of controversy, with a drug test abnormality from Jones forcing the entire card to switch states, "Bones" returned in stunning fashion by claiming a third-round TKO victory over Gustafsson this weekend.

The opening two frames were contested on the feet, with Jones outlanding "Gus" by a significant margin in the rematch of one of the greatest title fights in mixed martial arts history. "But soon you guys are going to know".

White also stated that if Cormier decides to fight three more times, which he believes is a possibility, then Jon Jones, Brock Lesnar and Stipe Miocic all make sense for the champ-champ. Is Marc Goddard going to stop this?

'Daddy's home, DC. Prove to the fans you're the champ champ.

'[The] Belt for me has always been symbolic, the most important is to be a champion in the lives of people making a difference in this world! Come get a taste.

Nunes submitted Miesha Tate in the first round to capture the bantamweight title at UFC 200 and knocked out Ronda Rousey in 48 seconds in her first title defence at UFC 207. I'm here, get your belt back.
