Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 was finally released on November 29 in several languages on more than 10,000 screens across the globe. Directed by Shankar, 2.0 has been widely appreciated and accepted by the audiences.

If day 3 gross collection is taken together, the film has earned Rs 194 crore and is all set to cross Rs 200 crore mark on Sunday. Being a Saturday, the movie is expected to have done an wonderful business with higher collections. As of now, the total collection of the Hindi version of the film in two days stands at Rs 38.25 crore. Being a Tamil film predominantly, 2.0 is doing great business at the box office in the North belt as well.

Being a normal working day release, that too on a Thursday, it is a very good opening gross figure for 2.0 but definitely below the expectations that one would associate with a film from the celebrated Rajini - Shankar duo and the sequel to the much-loved Enthiran. This happens to be the first Indian film that is directly shot in 3D. The trade portal further reported that the earnings in Gujarat, where the film wasn't performing well initially, has seen a jump of 45 per cent. BoxOfficeIndia stated that East Punjab crossed Rs 2.50 crore nett, while Delhi / UP was close to touching Rs 6 crore nett.

The Hindi version of the film has been appreciated and accepted across all Hindi circuits.
