The Switch's latest big-name games are also doing well - Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee have already sold 1.5 million units, and Super Mario Party has managed to suprass the 1 million unit mark.

Internal sales figures show shoppers spent $250 million on Nintendo products overall between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday.

Switch sales were up 115%, the company said, putting the life to date sales number at 8.2 million.

The newest iteration of the beloved Pokemon franchise, Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu! and Eevee! has sold more than 1.5 million units in the US since its launch earlier this month. Super Mario Party, which launched earlier last month, surpassed its lifetime USA sales of 1 million units making it the fastest-selling game in the Mario Party series. Active until 8:59 a.m. PT on November 28, the promotion offers up to 50 percent off select digital games in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS. The sales of the Switch over the last weekend have surpassed even the Wii in the same period when it was the au courant console, which is no small deal considering how much of a frenzy there was around the Wii and it's promises of video games and exercise.


The Cyber Monday deal applies to the base** Nintendo Switch system with either Gray Joy-Con controllers or Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Con controllers.

Lifetime combined sales of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon crossed 2.2 million.

It surpassed the Wii sales with a +117% change as compared to previous year.
