Alabama scored a 76-yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage and racked up over 600 yards of offense, as the Crimson Tide cruised past Arkansas, 65-31.

"We need to coach them better", Saban said.

Alabama hit opponent highs against the Razorbacks with 246 rushing yards (beating Texas A&M's 176) and 393 passing yards (389 by Colorado State). Irv Smith scored on a 76-yard catch and run that took 21 seconds on Alabama's first snap. Alabama receiver Henry Ruggs III picked up the fumble in stride and carried it the remaining 12 yards for a touchdown and a 14-0 lead with 10:01 left in the first quarter.

Ty Storey threw an 8-yard pass to Cheyenne O'Grady to put the Razorbacks on the board. He is now 76-of-102 for 1,495 yards and has no interceptions on the year, and he has yet to play in a fourth quarter.

Backup quarterback Cole Kelley threw the second touchdown, faking the run before pulling up and firing a 3-yard pass to O'Grady.

Alabama built leads of 21-0 and 34-14.

Alabama added a defensive touchdown in the fourth quarter when Shyheim Carter intercepted a Storey pass and returned it 44 yards for a touchdown. Alabama is also with freshman defensive back Jalyn Armour-Davis, who suffered a season-ending knee injury last month.

Alabama got the ball back by forcing a fumble on the Razorbacks' opening series.

On the ensuing drive, it appeared Arkansas forced and recovered a fumble of its own, but it was overturned and Tagovailoa found Jerry Jeudy for a 42-yard score on the next play. The drive, beginning at the 22-yard line, was set up by a 78-yard punt return from De'Vion Warren.

The Hogs will travel to Little Rock next Saturday to take on Ole Miss, seeking to continue a recent trend of finding ways to pull out wins against the Rebels. "It's a six-game season, and we're going to focus on us; we're going to focus on what we've been focusing on the last three and a half, four weeks and that's just us getting better".
