Sahar Zeki, an activist and a friend of slain Saudi writer Jamal Khashoggi, holds a picture of him, after attaching a bouquet of flowers, at the barriers blocking the road leading to the Saudi Arabia's consulate in Istanbul, Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018. France has suspended political visits to Saudi Arabia.

A team of Saudi agents began arriving in Turkey the day before Khashoggi's killing, Erdgoan said, and cameras at the consulate were removed.

Riyadh's current narrative is that Khashoggi was killed in a brawl inside the consulate, and it linked the five dismissals to the alleged brawl-turned-murder.

Three weeks after the killing, the U.S.is also taking its first steps against Saudi officials, with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announcing 21 Saudi "suspects" would have their USA visas revoked or be deemed ineligible for a US visa.

After initially insisting that Khashoggi had left the consulate alive, the Saudi government has not admitted that he was killed, although it continues to claim that his death was unintentional.

The crown prince has denied any involvement.

The Turkish president, who had said he would reveal "the naked truth" about Khashoggi's murder fell short of that with a speech was not as detailed and as full of new facts/evidence as analysts had expected.

Turkish authorities claim to have an audio recording that confirms the father-of-four was tortured, killed and had his fingers cut off.

"We're going to know a lot over the next two days about the Saudi situation".

- "The Saudi Arabian administration has taken an important step by admitting the murder".

Kushner declined to say whether he believes Saudi Arabia's account that Khashoggi died accidentally inside the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

Portman, a member of the Senate Republican leadership, was one of nearly two dozen bipartisan senators who signed a letter to President Donald Trump, requiring an investigation into Khashoggi's death at the Saudi consulate in Ankara several weeks ago.

The three-day event is meant to project Saudi Arabia as a lucrative business destination as it seeks to lessen its dependence on oil revenues and sets the stage for new ventures and multibillion-dollar contracts. During a speech in the Turkish parliament today, Erdogan called for the Saudi suspects to be tried in Turkey.

"I would love if he wasn't responsible", Trump said of Mohammed, also known as MBS, to The Washington Post on Saturday.
