The Internet Reacts To Disney's Live-Action 'Aladdin' Teaser Trailer

It is set for release on May 24th 2019.

Aladdin teaser trailer: This film is a live-action adaptation of the 1992 animated film.

I'm still not fully sold on the live-action aspect, but if anyone has the budget to pull it off, it's surely Disney. From the looks of the first trailer, released Thursday evening, the film doesn't seem shy about borrowing familiar elements from its predecessor.

In this trailer, we get our first look at the desert landscapes, our first listen to the soundtrack as well as a brief shot giving us our first look at Aladdin.

Clearly thrilled about being part of the new take on the classic Disney tale, Smith captioned the poster, "LEMME OUT!"

Will Smith, who plays Genie in the upcoming film, debuted the one-sheet on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

The teaser features our first glimpses of Mena Massoud as Aladdin, stumbling into the Cave of Wonder and finding the magical genie's lamp. "Can't wait for y'all to see Me BLUE!" . Just underneath, there's a tagline that reads, "Choose wisely".

John August, whose credits include "Big Fish", wrote the new "Aladdin" script. Dan Lin, who produced Ritchie's two "Sherlock Holmes" movies for Warner Bros., is also producing "Aladdin" through his Lin Pictures company.
