Star playmaker Eden Hazard remains doubtful for Chelsea's Premier League clash with Burnley this weekend as he continues to struggle with a back injury, Blues manager Maurizio Sarri said on Wednesday.

But Sarri claims Loftus-Cheek is still some way off securing a permanent spot in his side.

"Tomorrow [he] is out for sure", Sarri told a news conference on Wednesday, via Goal.

"It feels really good", Loftus Cheek told BT Sport after he became the first Chelsea player to score a hat-trick in Europe since Didier Drogba 12 years ago.

'Now I think the same, but now he's now more suitable to my football.

'At the moment we have four midfielders for two positions, three of them with the same characteristics.

Cesc Fabregas and Ruben Loftus-Cheek get recalls in midfield with Jorginho and N'Golo Kante rested while Mateo Kovacic keeps his place meaning Ross Barkley is once again on the bench.

He said: "If I'm him, I'm hoping he takes me off before the 90 minutes is up".

'I need the cooperation of the players of course.

"So first thing's first, I need to keep up the good habits - eating well, sleeping well and training well and if I keep doing that then good things will come".

Chelsea continued to dominate their opponents and Loftus-Cheek capped out an excellent performance with a hat-trick when he sent a curling shot from just outside the box past the goalkeeper.

But the England midfielder has made just two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season, and Sarri said only defensive improvement was likely to lead to more chances for Loftus-Cheek.

A move that started with Loftus Cheek in his own half saw Pedro burst down the left flank and, when he was dispossessed, Chelsea's home-grown talent was on hand to guide home his hat-trick goal.
