Fortnite season 6 kicks off with massive changes

Fortnite Season 6 continues the tradition of hiding Battle Pass stars inside of unlockable loading screens, allowing players further ways to rank up their unlockable tiers.

The Shadow Stones will likely have a major impact on tactical strategy in areas where they are plentiful. Thankfully, though, from fresh map changes to the addition of pets, Fortnite Season 6 has plenty of fresh wares to keep folks entertained until the Port-a-Fortress makes a comeback.

Eventually it made its way to Loot Lake where it promptly melted and formed a unusual, bouncy purple layer on top of the water's surface for a number of days.

Epic Games noted the issue on Twitter. Most times, this is due to the fact that no one uses the weapon or that the weapon is so overpowered it ruins the balance of the game.

Why it matters: Just when you think you've got the ideal Fortnite Battle Royale strategy figured out, Epic drops a new update that radically alters how the game is played.

These are new areas are very similar to the layout of Fatal Fields and will be a good spot to find some chests hidden away as well as get a good amount of resources. You can get dogs, dragons, and other pets that stay with you as a backbling.

Impulse grenades, the silenced submachine gun, the light machine gun, bouncer pads, and remote explosives have all been vaulted. These pets look incredibly cute, much like you would expect things to work on Fortnite, and they even react to different conditions, like when you are in a fight.

There are three pets in all being introduced in season 6, and they're all exclusive to the Battle Pass. Stand still and you'll be invisible to other players.
