Apple is one of those companies that makes people wait all year for its new products with bated breath.

Ars will be at Apple's September event reporting on all the news, so be sure to check back for the latest on September 12.

Apple Inc is set to roll out its latest lineup of products on September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater in the company's Cupertino, California campus, the iPhone maker said on Thursday.

Among the biggest rumors: Apple could introduce a handful of new iPhone models, in new sizes, colors, and with exciting new features - though maybe at the cost of some others.

Apple will unveil a new batch of iPhones in less than two weeks. It's planning three new models that look like the iPhone X, including a refresh to the flagship device, a larger premium model, and a larger, cheaper model that comes in different colors.

It will feature a 6.1-inch edge-to-edge display, but it will be a lower-quality LCD and the phone will be made of aluminum like the iPhone 8 instead of stainless steel like the X. This iPhone is also expected to only have a single rear camera.

Based on the invite that went out, it appears the iPhone will be the primary focus of the event. Like clockwork, the company will likely announce this year's new iPhones at the event as well as new Apple Watches and new iPads.

The folks at 9to5Mac also got their hands on an image of the new Apple Watch Series 4 today.

It's now unclear if Apple will save this announcement for later in the year or reveal all alongside its new range of phones.

The iPhone accounts for about two-thirds of the company's revenue, and serves as a hub for Apple Watches, AirPods, and services like the App Store and Apple Music, which generate most of Apple's other sales.
