Apple just sent out invites for one of the most awaited tech events globally - the 2018 iPhone launch - slated for September 12 at the company's Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California.

Apple is preparing to release three new smartphones this year, including the largest iPhone ever, a device that may have a bigger display than arch-rival Samsung's flagship phone, Bloomberg reported in February.

And since the event invitation significantly used the colour gold, it fuels speculation that the company plans to launch a gold-coloured successor to the premium iPhone X, which was only available in silver and grey previous year. The new OLED screens should bump Apple up to near, or at the very top of the mobile display game.

9to5Mac reported that the upcoming phone will be available in two sizes of OLED screen:. It seems this fourth-generation Apple Watch could also sport a new face that's 15 percent larger than company's current smartwatch displays, which is an estimated 44mm (from 38mm) or 48mm (from 42mm).

The Apple iPhone XS and Apple Watch Series 4 will be unveiled during a special event at Apple's spaceship campus on September 12. According to 9toMac which obtained exclusive info, the new Series 4 will get a newer edge to edge display with thinner bezels. Like we mentioned, Apple is expected to introduce upgraded products in its line-up including new laptops, tablets and other accessories. Apparently, these two models are called the iPhone XS. He said that the 5.8-inch iPhone will come with dual 12-megapixel cameras on the back, 4GB RAM, three storage models - 64GB, 256GB and 512GB and battery with a capacity between 2600mAh and 2700mAh. In 2013, Apple launched the iPhone 5c, which was essentially an iPhone 5 in plastic casing. There will be a successor to the iPhone X and a bigger version of that too. The company could also reveal other products such as an updated iPad Pro and the next version of its AirPods.
