Newcastle sign Japan's Yoshinori Muto, as Rafa Benitez expresses concerns

According to The Northern Echo, Benitez hopes to add Ings to the signing of Yoshinori Muto, the Japanese worldwide who joined the club earlier this month.

"When things are not going well off the pitch you can see a reflection on the pitch", Benitez told the Guardian after this week's 4-0 preseason defeat to Braga.

"I am delighted to sign Salomon", the Newcastle boss said. I am confident we can do it.

'It will be more hard than previous year.

The striker is however not the only Baggies player that we are looking at with both the Daily Mail and the Sun reporting that Kieran Gibbs could be an option if a move for PSG's Stanley N'Soki doesn't work out.

Rondon's additional stature and hold-up play will be an asset for the Magpies, who have lost those attributes by selling Aleksandar Mitrovic to Fulham.

Newcastle United have finally announced another new signing as they have snapped up Japanese worldwide Yoshinori Muto from Bundesliga side Mainz. Meanwhile a £9.5mn deal for Mainz's Japan forward Yoshinori Muto was formalised yesterday.

Even many Manchester United fans can now find a soft spot for the former Liverpool manager, who currently finds himself struggling to cope with life at Newcastle.

Benitez is adored by the Geordie Faithful, but has something of a strained relationship with the North East clubs controversial owner Mike Ashley, and only last week admitted that he was anxious that he has not signed more players this summer. 'They want to have better players around because they have more possibilities to win'. "But I can't say too much".
