Highs will be around 10-15° below average, with highs only in the upper 60s.

Most of the day should be dry but the risk for storms will rapidly increase by the evening and especially overnight. Any of the developing storms will be capable of very heavy rainfall along with frequent lightning.

Temperatures will be in the low 90s with afternoon storms. Before the rain chance and front Thursday, highs should hit the low to mid 80s. Clouds will keep temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s with muggy conditions through the day.

"Bands of showers and a few thunderstorms will continue today, with the best chance across the interior, with some scattered showers lingering across the west tonight", forecasters wrote. Mostly sunny Wednesday as highs climb into the low to upper 80s.

Friday will likely be the driest of the rest of the work week, however it will be the most humid. Monday still brings the chance for a few showers and thunderstorms.

Scattered thunderstorms will develop across the Tennessee Valley this afternoon and early evening.
