The new handset Redmi Y2 is the rebranded Redmi S2, which was launched by the Chinese company last month in their domestic market. Redmi Y2 will go on sale from 12 June, 12 pm onwards through Amazon, Mi, com, and Mi Homes across India.

The Redmi Y2 sports a 5.99-inch HD+ display with 1440×720 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The big difference between the two is that Xiaomi's latest device has a plastic body instead of the metal on the Redmi Note 5 Pro.

The Redmi Note 5 is powered by a generation old Snapdragon 625 SoC - with octa-core Cortex-A53 2.0GHz clocked CPU core and Adreno 506 GPU - and is available in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB RAM and storage variants which promise similar performance to its predecessor from 2017. It also features a 5MP secondary rear camera to capture depth information for AI portrait shots. The device will run on Android 8.0 Oreo with Xiaomi's custom MIUI 9 skin. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is cheaper than the Moto Z3 Play.

Xiaomi has been among the select few Android OEM brands that offer extended software support to devices that are way past their update cycle. The hardware is familiar, but the addition of face unlock and a retooled front camera make it a strong contender in this category.

For security goal there's AI-based Face Unlock and fingerprint sensor which can also be used to take selfies.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 can be considered the "descendant" of "Redmi 5".

The smartphone will ship in Gold, Rose gold and Grey colour variants.

According to the information of sources, the smartphone is likely to come in 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants, however, the 4 GB variant could have 64GB of internal storage while the 6GB RAM variant could have 128GB of internal storage.

There is a 16-Megapixel front camera with f2.0 aperture and HDR support while at the back there is a dual camera setup - 12-Megapixel + 5-Megapixel with f2.2 aperture, phase detect autofocus.

The Zenfone Max Pro M1 is currently the best value for money smartphone available in India right now, and of course, when you get a value for money product, you've to struggle for getting your hands on it.

As the name itself suggests, the smartphone comes with a mammoth 5000mAh battery, which will easily deliver two days worth of battery life on a single charge. The phone has support for 4G VoLTE, dual band 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5 mm headphone jack, A-GPS, GLONASS and micro USB port.
