Ex-Knick says LeBron James will come to NY

Green is not amongst those who think he and James will be teaming up in the Warriors blue and gold in the future though, as he believes it would be an either or situation if James actually does come to Golden State via free agency this summer.

"In order to win you've got to have talent, but you've got to be very cerebral too", James said, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

Durant, though, has the clearest path to the MVP trophy after a virtuoso 43-point performance in Game 3.

In Game 3 of the Finals a year ago in the same building, Durant hit a deep 3-pointer to give the Warriors a 3-0 series lead. I mean, that's what he does.

Durant was an All-Star for the Warriors yet again this season, averaging 26.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 68 games.

Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant (35) celebrates during a timeout against the Cleveland Cavaliers during the fourth quarter in game three of the 2018 NBA Finals at Quicken Loans Arena.

Having similarly delivered at this stage previous year, Durant has spent the last 12 months dodging questions about whether he will ever top his 2017 display, and he now plans to do the same when asked to analyse his latest performance.

The Cavaliers, who were powered by a 33-point performance from LeBron James, will try to become the first National Basketball Association team to come back from a 3-0 deficit and win a series. He knew 50 seconds still remained and his shot put the Warriors up by six points. "But you definitely tip your hat. He's an assassin, and that was one of those assassin plays".

Despite the magnitude of his 3-pointer, Durant acted like he had been there before, bypassing a celebration for a stone face.

"That was wonderful what he did out there tonight", Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of Durant postgame.

Durant finished Game 3 with the third-highest point total by a Warriors player in a Finals game, behind 55- and 44-point games by Rick Barry, both in 1967.

"I always say I'm my biggest critic, and I would have loved to have made a couple more shots earlier in the game", Curry said.

LeBron lumped IQ with decision-making and claimed that Cleveland's lack of it might have caused two of their three losses. The Warriors are 8-18 ATS in their last 26 games following a win and 1-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
