Cristiano Ronaldo likely to leave Real Madrid over unfulfilled promises

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo wishes to stay in Europe if he carries out his threat of leaving the Spanish capital this summer - ruling out any potential move to Major League Soccer or the Chinese Super League at this stage of his career.

Neymar "will play for Real Madrid one day", says Marcelo, with the Blancos defender eager to point out that Cristiano Ronaldo does not dictate transfer strategy at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Neymar made a world record transfer move to Paris-Saint-Germain from Barcelona a year ago August, and he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid since January 2018. Real Madrid doors are always open for Neymar.

"But we can overcome (Cristiano's exit) because LaLiga is more important than any club or player".

The report states that the Portugal striker is incensed over the failure to follow through on a bumper new contract promised to him in 2017 by president Florentino Perez.

The futures of Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar and five-time Ballon d'Or victor Ronaldo are dominating headlines heading into the World Cup in Russian Federation.

Spanish League giants Real Madrid are now said to be ready to do their level best to sign the Brazilian football star.

The full-back has also rubbished suggestions that Cristiano Ronaldo could look to block the move and insists that there is no reason why Ronaldo and Neymar could not be at the club together.

The injury, which some feared may keep him out of the World Cup healed in time for him to fire past Croatia in a friendly at Anfield last weekend.

"In the next few days I will give an answer to the fans".

Firmino did not appreciate Ramos' mocking tone and Marcelo weighed in, telling reporters: "I've known Sergio Ramos for 12 years and it's bad to win three straight Champion Leagues and see people talking that it was so because the goalkeeper was hit, or someone was sent off, or a penalty wasn't given".

"I just don't know if you get it because of the titles you've won, the season you've completed or just how good you are as a player".
