China, Russia, Mongolia vow to strengthen cooperation

"I believe it's necessary to stop this creative babbling and shift to concrete issues related to real cooperation", Putin told reporters on a visit to China, when asked to comment on a G7 joint statement.

In March, the United Kingdom accused the Kremlin of using a deadly nerve agent to poison a former Russian spy on British soil.

Russian Federation was expelled from the grouping in 2014 after it invaded and annexed Crimea and for its support for pro-Russia separatists in Ukraine.

The President's suggestion to bring Russian Federation back into the G7, which represents more than 60 per cent of global net worth, was heavily criticized by most of the leaders and leading US politicians.

The President of the European Council dismissed Mr Trump's leadership a "seasonal turbulence" and predicted the G7 group would prevail despite America's isolationist policies.

The statement had said: 'We urge Russian Federation to cease its destabilising behavior to undermine democratic systems and its support of the Syrian regime'.

"Justin has agreed to cut all tariffs and all trade barriers between Canada and the United States", he joked, but also urged the Prime Minister to cut Mexico out of the troubled NAFTA talks - a suggestion already rejected by Mr. Trudeau.

Putin said Russian Federation will honour its part of the deal, adding Moscow is still in favour of the "unconditional implementation" of the pact.

However, Peskov also stressed that no specific agreement had been reached about holding a summit between Trump and Putin.

"It will take some time before the signing of the agreement itself, this should be done properly, but this is the first very serious step towards organizing a serious regional economic union", Putin said, adding that "This is certainly compatible with both the Eurasian Economic Union and with the Chinese Silk Road initiative in its economic dimension".

Earlier on Sunday, Putin criticised the USA withdrawal from the Iranian nuclear deal in a speech at the summit.

He was more more forthcoming about his friendship with Xi during an interview with Chinese state broadcaster CGTN earlier this week.

The combined purchasing power of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is greater than that of the G7, Putin said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Sunday that he'd be happy to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump whenever Washington is ready for such a summit.

Trump's deteriorating relationships with Trudeau and Macron - both of whom he has previously lavished with praise - come as the US finds itself increasingly isolated from key allies over Trump's isolationist policies, including his decisions to pull out of the Paris climate agreement and to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal.
