President Donald Trump touched down in Tennessee to stump for pro-life Senate candidate Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).

Mexico has said it would not pay for a border wall. The Tennessee primary, in which she'll face off against former Gov. Phil Bredesen, is August 2. "We need Marsha in the Senate to continue the unbelievable progress and work that we've done over the previous year and a half".

Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), who is running for US Senate, during a rally at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium on May 29, 2018.

Trump added that Bredesen donated to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign in 2016, saying, "Phil Bredesen supported her and he supported her ideas".

Corker's sometimes tense relationship with President Trump will also be on display during this trip. The two continued to trade insults previous year, with Trump giving the senator the nickname "Liddle Bob Corker" and insisting he wouldn't even be able to get elected "dog catcher" if he tried running for re-election.

Mr. Trump is expected to continue to campaign around the country to help elect or reelect Republicans, as Republicans hope to increase, or at least hold, their majority in the Senate. "To keep on winning, you have to vote Republican in November".

"We're going to defend our borders, and we're going to fight crime", he said.

Trump on Tuesday criticised Mexico for not helping to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States. "Sincerely, Mexico (all of us)", Pena Nieto wrote in English. "Who is he?" Trump said of Bredesen. Bob Corker, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

He said national security "is a great issue" for Republicans in the mid-term elections. Corker also greeted Trump at the Nashville airport Tuesday, joined by Blackburn and Sen.

Blackburn, who served on Trump's transition team, has embraced the president and called herself a "hardcore, card-carrying Tennessee conservative". Blackburn, who has already received the president's endorsement, has been counting down the days on Twitter until Trump shows up. "They do nothing for us".
