Although full details of the OnePlus 6 are yet to be revealed officially, there is a lot of information about the phone that is available.

Per OnePlus's announcement, via Android World, the OnePlus 6 will be available for preorder tomorrow, May 16th, likely right after the launch event. In addition, the OnePlus 6 is also expected to have a tempered glass screen protector as an accessory which would be available off the shelf.

Performance wise, this will be the fastest OnePlus yet, and one of the fastest phones in the industry, too. Inside will be the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU, yes like the US Samsung Galaxy S9. The phone will also come with Dash Charging and Qi Wireless charging possibilities.

The leaked information regarding the camera suggests that the model comprises a 20 Mega Pixel camera on the rear end whereas 16 Mega Pixel Camera is designed at the front end to let the users take the benefits of wonderful selfies. OnePlus says that the smartphone's glass back panel will feature five printed layers of nanotech coating. On the front, the phone is expected to sport a 20-megapixel one with f/1.7 aperture.

OnePlus' partnership with Marvel for the OnePlus 6 will see the smartphone maker release a special edition Marvel Avengers Infinity War variant of the OnePlus 6 and this will also be a limited edition. It has also partnered with Amazon in India to sell the flagship on the same date.


If we talk about the OnePlus 6 price in India, it is expected to start at Rs. 36,999 for the 64GB storage variant while the 128GB storage variant is said to cost Rs. 39,999. It will be open from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm on May 21, and between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm on May 22.

On the specs front, the smartphone will be offered in 3 variants depending on the RAM offered on it - 4GB, 6GB and 8GB. Fans will be able to experience and purchase the OnePlus 6 at these pop-up stores over two days, on a first-come-first-serve basis. The premium 8GB/256GB version is expected to retail for around Rs 48,000.

As per the recent reports and rumours, the Oneplus 6 (that is launching today) is an initial model by the company and it has been revealed that OnePlus 6T is going to be launched in a few months. Though it is still unclear if the phone will be priced same as the original (Rs 42,999).
