OnePlus 6: Key specifications, design and more revealed ahead May 16 launch

OnePlus 6 will be unveiled to the world officially on May 16 at an event in London, followed by the launch in India and China on May 17.

Last week, we had got hold of exclusive leaked CADs of OnePlus 6 and the latest leaked images seem to be very much in line with what we had shared. However, just ahead of official launch, the smartphone has been found listed on Amazon Germany website ahead of May 16 launch, leaving very little to the imagination.

The website adds that customers would have to pay Euro 519 for the 64GB storage version, while the 128GB model comes at Euro 569.

With the price also been reported, it is assumed that OnePlus 6 Amazon price tag will range from $520 for the 64GB model and $749 for 256GB.

Just a few days before launch, WinFuture has revealed what appears to be the first crystal clear images of the OnePlus 6.

According to the rumour, OnePlus 6 will be available in "Black Mirror" and "Midnight Black" body colours. There is no word on the pricing of the top-end 8GB RAM/256GB storage model, which would be even more expensive.

The OnePlus 6 will come with a 6.28-inch AMOLED display, with resolution of 2,280 x 1,080, and it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.

On back, we're getting a clear look at the vertically stacked dual-lens camera, flash, and oval-shaped fingerprint sensor. Despite being available nearly exclusively online, demand for OnePlus smartphones is strong with each new release. OnePlus India brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan recently shared a picture of the white and black color variants of OnePlus 6. The listing also shows that it will be water-resistant, but doesn't specify whether it will have an IP67 or IP68 certification.

Google has announced that the beta version - intended mainly for use by developers and super-fans - is now available, and the company is also opening the beta up to third-party devices as opposed to restricting access only to Nexus and Pixel phones.

OnePlus had earlier confirmed that the upcoming flagship smartphone will be launched on May 16 at 10.30 pm IST.

There are two options to avail the trade-in deal. "Can you match the shot to the phone?"

Then, within two weeks of sending off your old phone you will receive a voucher which you can then put towards a OnePlus 6 on the oneplus.com site.
